FOR TEACHERS

1. •    Teachers’ notes with a detailed outline of the activity and how to prepare for it, plus a suggested lesson plan.
   

2. •    Teachers’ player profile sheet This is the same as the Pupils’ Player Profile Sheet, but with all the data from the video clips already entered for easy reference. There’s also the Swanscombe Tigers coach’s personal analysis of each of his players as a comparison. You may or may not chose to share this with your pupils, as it may give the impression there is a ‘right’ answer, when the pupils’ analysis may be equally valid. You might want to provide the additional information after the pupils have made their selections, by saying: ‘Here is some more information, does this make any difference to your selections?’
   

3. •    Extension ideas with suggestions for further work using the same video content and data.
   

FOR PUPILS

1. •    Pupil reference sheet gives an outline of the footballing skills that are useful for different playing positions and how heart rate and fitness are linked. You might choose to make any of these points orally to the class.
   

2. •    Pupils’ player profile sheet gives some vital statistics for each player with space for pupils to record the information they get from the video clips for each of the activities they choose to analyse.
   

3. •   Pupil report sheet for pupils to explain their choices about the players they would select for the different playing positions in the team. They can choose more than one player for each position.
